NRP Leases Coal Reserves in Exchange for Royalty Payments
We lease coal reserves to experienced mine operators under long-term leases that grant the operators the right to mine our coal reserves in exchange for royalty payments. Significant customers of our lessees include major utilities and independent power producers such as American Electric Power, Georgia Power, Southern Company, Tennessee Valley Authority, Dayton Power & Light and Virginia Electric Power.
NRP is a Yield Oriented Investment with Growth Opportunities
We plan to make quarterly distributions to common unit holders based on our ability to generate income from operations. We also plan to actively pursue opportunities to expand and diversify our reserves by acquiring additional properties that generate royalty income.
